Geng Le - Blued
Geng Le is the founder and CEO of Danlan.org and Blued in China. In the past few years, he made up his mind to “Change LGBTQ people’s life with science and technology” and started from a personal website only managed by himself to an entrepreneur team of dozens of people and a gay internet company at the valuation of 300 million dollars.

In 2000, he created the earliest gay website in China. He not only went through the discrimination from society but also faced the situation of frustration and difficulties of how to run the website. In order to devote himself into LGBTQ business, he determinedly resigned from the position of a police officer, on which he was seated for 16 years.

In 2012, Blued, as the gay mobile dating application spawned by Danlan.org, developed rapidly. So far it has garnered 15 million worldwide users. Since April of 2013, Blued has attracted three rounds of investment and its valuation has reached 300 million US dollars.

Geng Le has been actively participating in the public welfare and spreading knowledge of AIDS prevention and control and anti-discrimination through self-influence. His achievements have been recognized by the government. On 26th November 2012, Geng Le was invited to meet the then-Vice-Premier Li Keqiang. In March 2014, he was also invited to meet the deputy secretary-general of the United Nations Michel Sidibé. Lots of media institutions have reported Danlan.org and Blued, such as Xinhua News Agency, Associated Press, Reuters, Bloomberg Businessweek, Wall Street Journal, BBC and so on.
